Located in Dokuma Park in Kepez district and established in 2017, the Anatolian Toy Museum contains collections that will appeal to all ages and cultural groups.
Established on an area of approximately 4,000m2, the museum has nearly 5,000 toys in a 750m2 indoor exhibition area. On the one hand, the museum helps children learn about the evolution and history of toys, and on the other hand, it provides young generations with the mission of preserving traditional values.
Anatolian Toy Museum While the collection includes examples of toys from all over the world, the museum is dominated by local toys that come from our traditional past and shed light on the history of Anatolian toys. There are 15 different themes and 15 different arrangements in the 15 halls of the museum, which distinguishes itself with its unique design. Apart from the themed halls, each of which offers a different atmosphere to its visitors, there is a 150-m² children’s workshop. Toys in 10 different themes are exhibited in 10 showcases in the corridors of the museum. The gaps in the corridor walls are also used as display areas and various toys are exhibited in these spaces.
The exit gate of the Anatolian Toy Museum opens to a magnificent park that attracts attention with its special design. In the park, where children enjoy playing, there are centuries-old olive trees, special plant designs and sculptures of cartoon heroes. With its multi-purpose halls, training programs, workshops and other activities, the Anatolian Toy Museum serves as a social meeting place where children learn with fun and spend quality time with their families.
