Damlataş Cave, which is located in Alanya district and has a reputation beyond the district, is located 3 km from Alanya center, on the west coast of Alanya Castle. There is a beach in front of the cave and a small bazaar around it.

Discovered in 1948 during the opening of a quarry for rocks to be used in the construction of the harbor, the cave has been under protection since the day it was discovered. It is also the first cave in Turkey to be opened to tourism.

The cave, named Damlataş because of the drops of water that continue to drip from the stalactites, has a 50-meter long passage at the mouth. After the passage, which is about 15 meters high, you come to a cylindrical cavity and descend to the cave floor.

The stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the cave, which attracts attention with its striking beauty and whose formation dates back 15,000 years, fascinate the visitors at first sight. The stalactites and stalagmites of different lengths intersect in some places, creating stunning and exquisite views.

With a temperature of 22 degrees in summer and winter, Damlataş Cave can be visited easily in all seasons. The cave is also famous for its air, which is therapeutic for asthma patients.  Due to the carbon dioxide, which is 8-10 times more than normal in the atmosphere of the cave, and the high humidity of ninety-five percent, many asthma patients receive 21-day treatment for 4 hours a day under the supervision of a doctor in the cave.
