The pools, popularly called ‘Beachrock’, attract attention with their interesting formations. These shapes are seen where coastal dunes are located. On the coasts, where there is a tide, sand and pebbles are bonded together with carbonate cement and petrify parallel to the sea. Another characteristic of the stones is that they are soft enough to be worked while in the sea, but harden when taken out. Until recently, these rocks in layers were used to make millstone in the region. These stones were also used in the corner connections of the buildings.
