Opened in 2016, the Lycian Civilizations Museum is located in the Andriake Archaeological Site, the port city of the ancient city of Myra, in the Çayağazı District of Demre, Antalya. In the museum, from the point where visitors are welcomed, there are regular sightseeing routes that will allow them to enjoy the ruins. The last point of the tour is the magnificent Granarium (granary) built in the 2nd century AD.

In the eight halls of the museum, 1476 artifacts discovered during the excavations of ancient cities such as Xahthos, Tilos, Olympos, Patara, Myra, Arykanda, Pinara and Antiphellos, which are important cities of the Lycian Union, are exhibited, introducing the religious, social and economic life of the union. Interactive presentations, information boards and animations to better introduce the artifacts support the halls of the museum. In the museum, precious pieces such as the customs inscription and the 12-God Votive Stele, which illuminate an era, attract attention. The harbor structures in the front part of the building and an example of a Roman-era merchant ship are among the must-see artifacts. To get to the museum, you must pass through the Andriake Archaeological Site. In the ruins, you can visit the agora, baths, cisterns, churches and historical harbor roads among centuries-old olive trees. Another alternative that will add color to your visit to the Museum of Lycian Civilizations is to explore the Andriake (Demre) Bird Sanctuary, located between the museum and Çayağzı Harbor Road, where 149 different bird species can be observed.
