Located in the valley below Kayabükü Village in Gündoğmuş district of Antalya, Uçansu Waterfall is also known as Çündere Waterfall for the Çündere Stream in the region. The waterfall is approximately 165 km from the center of Antalya and 24 km from Gündoğmuş.
The waterfall, which feeds the Alara Stream on which rafting is done, flows from a height of about 50 meters from the middle of a rock and enthusiastically from several branches. The water source that feeds the waterfall comes out of a 10-m2 cave between the rocks. The waterfall, one of the hidden and mysterious beauties of the Taurus Mountains, is known as the ‘Hidden Paradise in the Forest’.
Uçansu Waterfall takes on its most spectacular view between March and June, when the snows of Akdağ and Geyik Mountains begin to melt. At the end of a 70-kilometer journey through great sycamores and an untouched forest, it meets the Mediterranean Sea in Manavgat.
In 1992, Uçansu Waterfall Gündoğmuş was declared a first-degree natural protected area, and its path through the greenery covered with rich vegetation brings visitors together with different beauties. The waterfall, which residents of the district see as a daily getaway destination on weekends, is also flocked by domestic and foreign tourists vacationing in the region.
